Evaluation Question 3

What kind of media institution might distribute your media product?

 I have looked into two different media institutions that might distribute my magazine. The first is Bauer Media Group. Bauer distributes many magazines, including Q magazine.

The second distribution company I have looked at with the view to distributing my magazine is IPC Media. It is based within the UK and has a large selection of different magazines in their books selling over 350 Million copies each year.

While these are the two highest achieving publishers with in the UK I think it is important to mention that over the past few years there overall circulation has slowly been decreasing. This however I would not put down to the companies them self's but instead down to the economy and the ever growing use of technology. For example the fact you can now see magazines online or get apps where you can read the articles on there. 
I believe that my magazine would be best suited to Bauer publishing as it has similar magazines such as Q. However because of this I feel that maybe it would also be a good idea to have it published with IPC Media to create a rivalry between mine and Q so it can flourish into its own magazine instead of live in the shadow of living up to Q Magazine.
