Success Criteria

Success criteria.

 

1.      When making my music magazine I will ensure that I take my photos with lots of background as opposed to taking the photo as close up as I need it. This is so that I can crop it to the size I need want on the computer so it gives me flexibility. I learnt this while doing my school magazine. I took my pictures to close up and decided that I wanted it farther out so I had to go and retake it.

2.      Secondly while making my front cover of my music magazine I will ensure that from the start I only use 2 fonts. When making my school magazine I did not do this and I had to go back and change it all as it looked to chaotic.

3.      When making my front cover I will ensure I limit my colours and think about which colours I am going to use. Including the pictures, text and title.

4.      I will try to be consistent through all of the pages I make for my music magazine. I will do this because when I made my school magazine I did not do this and they contents page looked like it belonged in a completely different magazine.

5.      I will make sure my research relates to my ideas and final pieces.

6.      When I made my school magazine I have very few pages written on my contents page and because of this is didn’t look professional so I will make sure that I have an appropriate number of pages on my contents page.

7.      When I made my contents page of my school magazine I had all my research out in front of me and I was constantly looking at their layouts and little decorative pieces they had done. This really helped me so I will again do this with my pages on my music magazine.

8.      I will decide the mood and look of my magazine thinking about what I have at my disposal. With my school magazine I planned to do classical music on the front and I ended up using two models that didn’t play instruments so they do not look as realist as it would if they knew how to play and hold the instruments. So I will only use models for their talents and strengths instead of settling.

9.      After making my school magazine I discovered that I didn’t really plan very well so when making my music magazine I will plan all my pages trying out lots of different ideas till I settle on one particular one.

10.  I will make sure that I always use a professional camera when taking any pictures. This worked very well for me when making my school magazine so I will again try to carry this through to my music magazine.

11.  I have to make my pages look professional. I did not do this very well on my school magazine contents page.
